MIG (GMAW) and FCAW are often confused with one another by the home hobbyist welders. Many times it is due in part to the fact that most small MIG machines are also built for flux cored welding.
The truth of the matter is, that while you can do either process with your machine, there are two processes for a reason. In this video we will look at the biggest reason why a home hobbyist would choose one process over another.
